2/28/2023 0 Comments Transformers runabout![]() ![]() Runabout's presence in the Transformers television series is limited to one episode - where he was among the Decepticon forces in the third season episode "Ghost in the Machine". Runabout also appeared as part of Galvatron's forces in a nightmare alternate universe where Unicron had destroyed Cybertron, and Galvatron and the Decepticons ruled Earth. ![]() comics divergent continuity Earthforce tales, as part of the Decepticon forces under Megatron and Shockwave. They caught up with the Battlechargers as they defaced the Statue of Liberty and defeated them both, dropping their broken bodies into New York Harbor. Stripped of her command in RAAT, she turned to a group of Autobots she had captured led by Blaster, who agreed to let her combine them into a super-Autobot if she would let them go afterwards. They would then encounter the Transformer hating Circuit Breaker, who attacked them and nearly killed the family the two Battlechargers had been following. Inspired by the youngster, they followed him and his family throughout America, graffiting Mount Rushmore and the Washington Monument on the way. Taking him up on this, the two Battlechargers caused random mayhem, until witnessing a young boy scrawling graffiti. Marvel Transformers comics in issue 23 where they responded to Megatron's request to announce a challenge to Optimus Prime in a dramatic fashion. Runabout and Runamuck first appeared in the U.S. ![]() That said, Runabout usually joins in with whatever mad ideas Runamuck comes up with, just to keep from being bored. Runabout is not the brains of the Battlechargers, but he is much calmer and certainly more articulate than Runamuck, and his presence helps keep the latter's cross-wired mind on task. The toy is packed in a convention style box with a foam insert for easy removal and display. Over-Run utilizes one of the extremely popular “Classics” molds and features an all-new head sculpt by Dan Khanna and Paul Brooks. Over-Run is a Deluxe sized figure featured in the Wings Universe and is Runamuck’s demolition partner. Marginally smarter than his partner, he also has better self-control, giving the pairing just enough focus to present a real danger to most robots they gang up on. He is partnered with the hyperactive RUNAMUCK, and has never had more fun in his life. He’s always on the move, looking to create a bigger fireball, a larger bomb crater, and generally cram every microsecond with action. He’s not interested in the Decepticons’ plans for conquest he’s just with them because of the greater opportunities for his kind of fun. The former is almost always on the losing side of that battle. It’s not a façade he can really maintain for long, less because of his generally low intelligence and more because his interest in beautiful objects starts and ends with “blow them up!” His drive to seem sophisticated is in direct conflict with his enthusiastic love of explosions and action. OVER-RUN tries to pass himself off as a suave connoisseur of fine things.
